After taking a break from the Expresso Morning Show for two years to handle personal affairs, TV host Katlego Maboe is back. Upon his return, he had an emotional tell-all interview with co-host Graeme Richards. Katlego thought back on the past two years, his lowest points, and putting his life back together.
The public has reacted well to Maboe’s eagerly awaited comeback and can’t wait to watch the presenter do his art. In the days preceding Maboe’s significant comeback, a promo featuring him speaking with Graeme Richards was made public.
The interview will be a “emotional sit-down as Katlego unpacks the tough road he has been on over the past two years and how he got back to himself,” according to a statement from S3 and Cardova TV.
In the brief commercial, which lasts only a few seconds, Maboe sobs as he says, “A lot has changed.”
A clip of Katlego’s conversation with co-host Graeme was also shown. In it, the emotional host discussed the difficulties he had to overcome in the previous two years as well as his eagerness to return to the camera and awaken Mzansi in the upbeat manner for which Expresso has come to be known.
After a video of Maboe and his ex-girlfriend and baby mama Monique Muller shouting about a presenter’s “cheating” was posted on social media in 2020, the couple made headlines.
Muller said that Maboe gave her an STD in the video. “Expresso” and Outsurance, where he served as the brand ambassador, cut their relations with Maboe when additional complaints of abuse were added to the list.
The station has also aired two more promos, boosting Maboe’s return to television after his public meltdown.
