Customers in Nigeria can now sign up for a Prime Video membership at PrimeVideo.com for 2300 NGN per month and enjoy a wide variety of entertainment, including international Amazon Original movies and TV series, well-known Hollywood productions, exclusive Nollywood films, and Local Nigerian Originals soon to be released. Through the Prime Video app on compatible mobile devices, tablets, Smart TVs, and online at PrimeVideo.com, Prime Video subscribers may stream, download, and watch whenever and wherever they want. By choosing from Good, Better, or Best streaming quality or by downloading content to their mobile device for subsequent offline viewing, customers may also limit the amount of data they use.

“We’re delighted to be increasing our investment in Prime Video for customers in Nigeria, making it a truly localised experience,” said Josh McIvor, director of International Expansion, Prime Video. From local payment and a full-scale local marketing campaign, to more local content specifically for Nigerian customers, our investment in Nigeria is a significant step towards our broader expansion plans in Africa and our ambition to be the most local of global streaming services.

“We know our customers want to see locally relevant faces, places, and stories alongside our global content on Prime Video, so we’re excited to be bringing Nigerian customers these brand-new Local Amazon Originals, Gangs of Lagos and LOL: Last One Laughing Naija, which will complement our growing selection of Nollywood and African series and movies,” said Wangi Mba-Uzoukwu, head of Nigerian Originals, Prime Video. The news signals our continued commitment to the Nigerian TV and Film industry, bringing the very best of authentic, homegrown stories to not only our customers in Nigeria, but also Prime Video members around the world.”

Gangs of Lagos

A gang of friends must all manage their own fate as they grow up in the busy streets and neighborhood of Isale Eko, Lagos, in the high-stakes, gritty, and hard-hitting action crime-thriller Gangs of Lagos. With its high-octane pace, emotional core, and intricate set pieces, it also has action scenes, interesting dialogue, and extravagant set pieces. LOL: Last one Laughing Naija

A bunch of comedians strive to be the “Last One Laughing” in the reality series. Hosted by the well-known comedian and all-around entertainer Basketmouth, the competition will pit 10 well-known Nigerian comedians against one another to see who can win while maintaining composure and aiming to make their opponents laugh and lose. The comedians are vying for a 40MM Naira grand prize that will benefit the winner’s preferred charity, so the stakes are high.
