Samsung unveiled its newest earphones, the Galaxy Buds2 Pro, as well as its two foldable phones, the Galaxy Z Flip4 and Galaxy Z Fold4. The ZFlip4 will be offered starting on September 9, 2022, in bora purple, blue, graphite, and pink gold with a memory capacity of 8/256GB, while the ZFold 4 will be offered in black, beige, and grey-green with memory sizes of 12/256GB and 12/512 GB.
The sale price for the fourth iteration of Samsung’s flagship folding phone, the Z Fold 4, in Nigeria is N1,055,000 for the 12 GB/256 GB model and N1,125,000 for the 12 GB/512 GB model. However, between August 10–24, 2022, interested customers can place pre-orders for any of the devices. Customers can also get up to an N80,000 discount on the Eco package pre-order which includes either Zflip4 or Fold 4, Buds2 Pro/Buds 2 and Watch 5 Pro/Watch 5. Samsung also announced an asset financing plan that will allow customers to pay instalments.

The Samsung Fold 4 is said to be the company’s most potent smartphone to date. The smartphone is the first to come pre-installed with Android 12L, a special version of the Android operating system developed by Google for use on large screens. Samsung has praised the phone as being able to perform significantly better than the earlier versions, which had their own share of issues.
Clearer photos and videos are produced by the Galaxy Z Fold4’s upgraded 50MP wide-angle and 30x spatial zoom lenses. Additionally, because to the larger pixels, a sensor that is 23% brighter, and enhanced processing power, users can capture clear photographs even at night.
The screen was one of the most frequent issues with earlier installations. According to Samsung, the Z Flip4 and Z Fold4 are their toughest foldables yet since they include proprietary Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+ on the cover screen and rear glass. The optimized layer structure contributes to the main screen panel’s increased longevity by reducing damage from external shock.
Samsung hopes to increase the popularity of foldable phones in light of their remarkable success. According to Solomon Osibeluwo, the Master Trainer for Samsung Nigeria, Samsung will make its foldable technology available to other flagship phones in order to achieve this.
